The Great Kiskadee represents the vibrancy and aliveness of Guyana, my father’s homeland. A fun fact about him - his chirp sounds like “Kiss-kad-dee,” which is how he got his name.

The Blue Jean Tanager honours the gentle beauty of Trinidad, where my mother is from. This sweet, blue songbird symbolises hope, new beginnings, and connection to our ancestors.

Together, they form a vibrant celebration of heritage, culture, and the birds that inspire my work.

Each coaster is printed to high standards here in the UK, creating a set that is both gorgeous and full of expressive character.

The story behind the artwork

This mixed set brings together two birds that hold deep meaning in my Heritage Collection. The Kiskadee celebrates Guyana, the Blue Jean Tanager celebrates Trinidad. Together they honour my family roots and the bright, expressive birds of South America and the Caribbean.
